Our Approach

We specialize in doing low volume formulation and manufacturing runs for other small/medium sized tea, herb, spice, and powdered drink brands. As a brand, we are focused on sourcing the best tasting, highest quality Canadian and internationally grown ingredients. By developing long standing relationships with wild-crafters, Indigenous communities, suppliers, and farmers, we are committed to moving through community in a good way.

We want to support other tea brands, creating quality solutions as affordable prices. We co-pack products to your required specifications, offering support or connections with formulation, packaging, and labeling solutions. We are a small but mighty team, new clients are accepted based on our capacity.

Who We Work With

If you are looking for a one-time service, we are not the manufacturer for you. Similarly, if you are just starting out, have an idea but no sales, we are not the right manufacturer for you (although we can maybe help you with ingredients).

If you are a brand that has outgrown your commercial kitchen space, are looking for low MOQs and the ability to innovate and iterate products quickly, we would love to hear from you. Our small MOQs mean that you can test out and refine your products on a monthly basis, learning what works really well and what does not without tying up your cashflow. Our services are boutique style, and we offer support with packaging, ingredients, and behind the scenes content creation. Because these costs are shared across all the brands we work with it can be significantly less expensive than sourcing alone. Our services work best for brands who are selling over 200 units per month (powders / spices / loose tea / packs of 15 tea bags) or 3,000 single serves per month.

Subscription Model

We do not do one time production runs. Instead, we have our customers commit a monthly or quarterly MOQ. Each month or quarter, you place your order. It does not need to be the same product each order. A subscription like this allows us to ensure everyone receives line time when they need it and keeps our staff employed. Of course, there is some flexibility here based on relationship needs.

Our subscription service allows brands to do small scale tests with new products, refine their formulation, innovate and iterate based on their customer feedback. It also allows us to provide behind the scenes production content as well more quality touch points for brands. You get real time updates as your products move through production.

Minimum Order Quantities (MOQS)

We are so proud to offer tiny, boutique style MOQs in addition to larger industrial MOQs. Our lowest commitment for custom products is 100 units or 1500 tea bags. This is really low for co-packing. The reason why we offer this is because we know what it is like to be just starting out. Large MOQs can feel impossible for small brands who are then faced with self-manufacturing to the high regulatory standards of our industry. Our hope is to make high quality product creation accessible, while also showing a path to lower costs as your brand and business grows.

Industrial production on our larger equipment carries higher MOQs of roughly 5000+ tea bags. This is because of how long it takes to set up the machine, take it down, and clean between runs.

What Can You Expect To Pay at the moq level?

These prices are estimates and typically include corrugate case packs, some storage, and shipping to you. Some exceptions may apply. Quotes change based on complexity of formulation, packaging format, and of course volume and location. Price typically goes down based on quantity.

Lead Times

6-8 weeks for a first run depending on how quickly we can get ingredients and packaging. The time is longer the more customized you get

PLEDGE TO OTHER TEA MANUFACTURERS
As a CPG founder turned Plant Manager, I know how stressful down lines or product emergencies can be. I would not be where I am today without the help and support of other tea makers. In the event your production line goes down and you need assistance completing a run or need an emergency run, please reach out. I will gladly run your products for a flat fee I will ask you to sign a contract including a mutual NDA, and you will need to provide proof that your line is indeed down. Of course, this is dependent on our capacity and up to our discretion.
